~ B2 Game Recap - Game 3 - 04/04/06 vs FireAnts - 2/3 Loss

Game three of the 2006 spring B2 season was another tough battle for D5 as they faced the undefeated Fireants. D5 started the game well getting a goal by defenseman Erich Harger, (1st of the season). The Fireants responded with two goals of there own though to finish the half with a 2-1 lead.

The second half started out with more of the same as the Fireants got an insurance goal early in the period. As D5 struggled to make a comeback the game developed a chippy edge. D5 was able to take advantage once on a series of fireant penalties, including an extended 4-2 powerplay. (goal by Dan Mokrycki) However, D5 was never able to finish the comeback losing the game 3-2.

This put D5 at 1-2 on the season. This sunday D5 faces the seawolves, last season B2 champions.
