~ B2 Game Recap - Game 9 - 05/9/06 vs Fireants - 3/7 Loss

Game nine of the B2 season featured a late night battle with the fireants. D5 was a fitting title for this team as they had only 5 skaters for the late night showing....but not fear the D5 fans were in full force ready to root for their team.

The first period was a tightly contested battle. The fireants scored first in the game but D5 tied the games at 1 on a goal by Brian Flynn. Behind strong goaltending by D5 goalie Mike Rinaldi, D5 kept the game tied at 1 through the first period.

The second period started out with more of the same as the fireants scored first to regain the 1 goal lead. D5 came back strong with two goals by D5 defenseman Erich Harger. The lead was short lived though as the fireants regain control and took advantage of a tired D5 team and were able to net the net 5 goals to close out the game.
