~ B2 Game Recap - Game 9 - 02/07/06 vs Ball Smashers - 5/7 Loss

Tuesday night D5 faced the ball smashers in a key game in the standings. This game would most likely decied who would be take the final spot for the playoffs. D5 had healthy scratches of Dave Aloi, Jason Ferreira, and Matt Gould. Stephen Gould stepped in as a sub.

D5 started strong with a goal from Brian Flynn, 2nd of the season. Ball smashers bounced right back with a goal of their own. D5 was able to regain the lead on a goal by Dan Mokrycki, 6th of the season.

The tide turned here as D5 was overwhelmed by the Smashers giving up 5 straight goals. D5 found themselves down 6-2. D5 started a comeback with goals from Steve Gould, Erich Harger, and Dan Gould. The comeback was stopped just short as the Ball Smashers added another goal to ice the game 7 to 5.

Of Note:
For D5 to make the playoffs D5 would have to win their last game versus FireAnts and the Ball Smashers must loss. In addition D5 has to score 4 goals than the Ball Smashers do.
