~ C Game Recap - Game 3 - 12/22/05 vs Steve Perry - 7/9 Loss

D5 skated last thursday for the first time against the new Steve Perry team in a battle of the undefeated teams. D5 was devastated by news that power forward Matthew Gould would be a scratch for the game and possible the season as he has gotten the "kissing disease"...mono. Equally devastating is the number of female D5 hottie fans that probably now have mono.

D5 began strong striking first and second with goals from Dan Mokrycki and Chris Gill. Steve Perry got on the board next in what was beginning to become a back and forth game. D5 player Dan Gould scored next to regain the two goal lead. It was short lived though as Steve Perry rallied off the next four goals to take a 5-3 lead. For the rest of the game the teams would trade off goals. Chad Matthews scored and both Chris Gill and Dan Mokrycki scored their second of the night. Finally in the second period the game was deadlocked at 6-6. Unfortunately Steve Perry got all the important next goal and then an insurance goal. D5 did score with under a minute left on a second goal by Chad Matthews but Steve Perry ended the comeback with an empty netter.

So going into the bye week D5 dropped its first game to strong Steve Perry team in a game that could have gone either way. D5 won't be back in action until the new year so kick back relax and do the best thing there is this time a year....grab a tall glass of egg nog and sit and watch the Mighty Ducks trilogy.....this is what the holidays are all about....
